Overheard 2

Tekken - Blood Vengeance

The Life and Times of a Sentinel

Set in the late 17th century, during the early years of the Kangxi Emperor's reign over Qing China, the drama stars Nip Dor-po (Steven Ma), a third-grade imperial bodyguard. He is used by both the Kangxi Emperor (Power Chan) and Prince Yu (Kenneth Ma) to pit against each other, conflicting Dor-po's loyalty for both.

The Negotiator

260,000,000 Yen is stolen from armoured vehicle. The criminals escape into a crowded shopping mall and take over 50 hostages. Reiko Usagi (Ryoko Yonekura) and the SIT members are called in to break the stand-off. When Reiko goes into the shopping mall to negotiate, an explosion suddenly occurs. The hostages panic and run, while the criminals are able to blend into crowd of people and escape.

A few weeks later, Reiko is at the Haneda Airport to go on a vacation. She then spots Yusuke Kimoto (Kento Hayashi), a man who was one of the hostages at the shopping mall. Fortunately, it doesn't take an Einstein to make sense of the plots. Psychiatrist Dr. Xiao Tingqin (Tang Yifei) has taken in a mental patient named Shen Liushuang (Cherrie Ying), a beautiful woman who claims to have special powers. In her treatment of Liushuang, Tingqin begins to encounter a series of inexplicable happenings. Meanwhile, Tingqin's marriage with senior cop Zhen Shanlin (Stephen Fung) is on the rocks when she finds out about his affair, which somehow is connected with the mysterious killer hot in her pursuit. As Tingqin finds herself fallen under the control of Liushuang, the only way to break free from her endless nightmares is to escape through the "wormhole" into an alternate reality!

Voltron Defender of the Universe Vol 1-3

Like Robotech, Voltron is an anomaly: an anime series that never aired in Japan in this form. The program Americans know under that title is comprised of recut footage from Hyakujuo Go-Lion ("Hundred-Beast King Go-Lion") and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV ("Armored Fleet Dairugger XV"). Voltron debuted in syndication in the US in September, 1984, with a completely new storyline. Five young pilots from the Galaxy Alliance, Keith, Lance, Sven, Hunk, and Pidge, crash on the planet Arus when they're attacked by the minions of the evil King Zarkon. In the ruins of an ancient castle, they learn the secret of recreating Voltron, the ancient robot "loved by the good and hated by the evil." Each of them must pilot one of five lion-mecha that link to form Voltron. They also befriend Princess Allura, who pilots of one of the lions after Sven is wounded in battle. Together, they fight Zarkon's robots and "ro-beasts," the witch Haggar and Zarkon's son Lotor. Obviously pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle, Voltron reuses some footage over and over, but leaves out big chunks of the narrative. When the five pilots initially crash on Arus, they stand at the edge of vast desert; after the commercial break, they're wandering through a fog-shrouded forest. These problems won't phase Gen-X'ers who grew up with Voltron and want to revisit this relic of their childhoods. The extras include a rather stilted documentary on the restoration of the series. Woman Knight of Mirror Lake

From the director of Ip Man: The Legend is Born. Nicknamed the Woman Knight of Mirror Lake, Qiu Jin was an early feminist, revolutionist and poet in the late Qing Dynasty. Advocating equality between men and women, Qiu Jin felt that a better future for women came under a Western-type government instead of the corrupt Manchu government. Appreciating the Japanese culture after the Meiji Restoration, she went to study in Japan in 1904. Qiu Jin was beheaded after a failed uprising against the Manchu government and is considered a heroine in China's anti-feudalist cause.

Your Class or Mine

Pang Kam-Chau (Bobby Au-Yeung) is left broke when his ex-girlfriend takes everything away from him. He hides in a football stadium to run away from the loan sharks. He then overhears Jason Ching Kwok-Chu (Derek Kwok) discussing with a business partner on sponsoring the Keegan Spirit soccer team. Hearing this perfect opportunity to possibly regain his wealth, Chau befriends the team coach, Fan Dai-Wai (Benz Hui), and is given the title of Operation Director of the football team.

With the win in the second quarter, Chau approaches Jason and his business partner to sponsor the team, by promising to make the "three treasures" of the team, Lam Yik-Dan (Kelvin Leung), Chan Lik-Ban (Oscar Leung), and Fan Pui-Tung (Him Law) into academically fit players and bring the team to the A league. They agree to sponsor and with Jason's hidden relationship with Kelly Yim Ka-Lai (Sheren Tang), nicknamed "A+ tutor" of a HK cram school. Three soccer players were tutored for the upcoming national examination. Kelly later discovers the players were cheating on the exams, and she refuses to continue tutoring. Kelly was angry, but cannot back out. She later claim that the three players must achieve a grade of 20 points or Chau will have to resign from his post.

Chau and Kelly continued to have their differences, but always put the benefits of the three treasures in mind. One day an intimate photograph of Kelly and Jason was published in a magazine. Jason's father is outraged and demotes Jason, giving the responsibility of the soccer team to his younger brother, Benny Ching Kwok-Ho (Vincent Wong). Later their relationships are strained in a 3 way relationship. And the finale is settled in a soccer game.
